Have you ever needed to freshen up the scent  of your home and needed to do so in a flash?

Whether it’s the smell of your garbage,  smell of garlic, wet dog smell or even the smell of your toddlers nature calls create an aromatic  uplift in a flash.

5 minutes Air Fresheners

Try one of these 3 simple and quick methods to create your own fresh smelling aroma in less than 5 minutes.

1. CINNAMON SIMMER POT

-fill a saucepot 1/2 full with water
-add 4-6 cinnamon sticks
-bring water to a boil then reduce heat and simmer

This simple and extremely quick method will fill the air with a calming and strengthening aroma.  Great for the fall and winter seasons but can be used all year round.  Cinnamon stick packages are relatively inexpensive and can also be purchased in bulk.

2. “I’M LOVIN’ CITRUS IN THE AIR” FRESHENER

-fill a saucepot 1/2 full with water
-add 3-5 cinnamon sticks
-slice an orange (or lemon) your choice.  It can be any fruit that you wish you use. Citrus fruits tend to provide a sweeter, longer lasting smell.
-1 tbsp whole cloves

Place all the ingredients into the pot, bring to a boil then turn down and simmer. Don’t let this combination go to waste.  Reuse it again and again by pouring this combo into a Mason jar and refrigerate. When needed pour the contents into a pot, reheat and experience the refreshing scent from this sweet and spicy combo all over again for up to 2 weeks.

3. DECORATIVE POWER COMBO JAR

-empty jar-baking soda
-your choice of essential oils (In the video I used Lemon and Peppermint)
-mesh, cheesecloth or tulle (to cover the top of the jar)
-elastic band
-Optional: ribbon

You fill up the jar half way with Baking soda. Using a combination of essential oils (your choice to use one, two or how ever many you wish). In the video I use Lemon and Peppermint,  a powerful combination that helps revitalize and freshen up any room. Place 10-15 drops of each onto the baking soda.

Cover the top of the jar with folded strip of cheesecloth, mesh or tulle  so the fresh scent slowly seeps out. Using an elastic band secure the cloth onto the top of the jar tightly.   If you want to make it pretty use some extra ribbon you have lying around and make a bow around the top to cover the elastic band.
