When entertaining, one of my favorite things to do is make a punch bowl using a watermelon. Easy, quick and kind on the wallet. This refreshing drink is full of health benefits and it will make you look like a ROCKSTAR, who can go wrong.

First you want to slice off a thin piece off the bottom of the watermelon so it can sit flat.

 

Using a spoon, dig out the flesh and place it into a bowl. Be careful not to dig too deep that you puncture the bottom.

 

After the entire contents are removed, place the watermelon onto a tray.

 

Scoop the watermelon chunks into a blender or food processor and puree until liquified. This may require multiple steps.

 

If little fruit monsters are around, you may have to share a few watermelon chunks before they are all gone.

 

Have two empty bowls and your sifter ready for this step.
a) Pour the contents of  the food processor into a sifter to separate the remaining chunks from the liquid.
b) Place remaining chunks in a separate bowl to liquify again.

Repeat the process until all chunks are completely liquified.

 

Add 4 cups of carbonated mineral water like S.Pellegrino to the watermelon juice.

 

Stir the combination so the flavors mix well.

 

Pour mixed juice back into the watermelon.

 

Cover the top with Saran Wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.

 

Serve chilled and once it’s almost all done you can use the watermelon as a cup.

After hours add adult content to the mix to spice up the punch :)
